The weekend
We must have all been working incredibly had today because we all lost it this afternoon in "the room". I had done too many quotes during the day and, taking a break, I turned into the middle of the room, towards Ke who sits across from me and said "I feel like popping some balloons". It's no use saying something like this if you don't have balloons ... but Ke did ... they've been with us for the last week since she returned from holidays and her desk was decorated for her birthday (which took place while she was away). I wasn't the only one who thought the balloons' time had come but we decided it would be too disruptive for those in the Customer Service area if we just "popped" the balloons. Am told us that she knew how to deflate balloons without them popping ... and we were all up for that. So, she took out her scissors and approached the first of the five balloons. There was no noise except for a slight hissing as the air escaped ... then "pop" as the second one exploded. We all lost it and it got worse as Am went to do the next one and Jelly came up behind her and popped one next to hers. Am sustained a minor but recovered quickly - we all know how bursting balloons can sting. It was a great breather in an otherwise long day!

| At the Markets |
It made the weekend seem a little less further away - because once you've back at work, the Weekend Memories can slip away fairly quickly. It was a good weekend, though, even though it was a wee bit on the warm side. We made it to The Markets yesterday and that was good. I think we were about 17 in all and I was pleased/grateful/happy/all of the above when M did the coffee run. The coffee caravan is still about the only real choice when the Arts Centre Cafe or their hole in the wall are closed and even though they've been there a while now, they don't have good-enough systems in place! Luckily FI is okay playing with them - and thank goodness he'll be back on deck next week!
We didn't get to the Sand Sculptures on the weekend but they're still there for the next week and while I doubt I'll get there before work one day l may make it after work!
