It was a fun day at work today as we did word play. I introduced the room to the notion of "preshacookaphobia''! Son loved it as much as I do. And Sooz told me this evening that lots of people mention it when you start talking about pressure cookers - although I guess enough folk have had pressure cooker incidents that fear of them could be well-founded, and thus not fitting the phobia criteria. But we're not going to quibble about it.
It was a warmish day today ... you can always tell because the lunchroom is full ... it's too hot to sit outside although there were three brave souls out there. That's not counting the smokers who are incredibly resilient and hardy, and brave the elements come rain, hail or heatwave. There isn't even a shelter or seating out in "smoking land" - out beyond the gates.
Sooz had a good chance to cool off today - she went to Aqua with An. They've been on the Holiday break and Sooz said it was wonderful to be back. It helps that the pool is under cover so there's no chance of them getting burned. That would not do - especially given the report on television tonight of people who are claiming the use of a (named) sunscreen left them and loved ones with significant burns.
And speaking of burns - or the fear of them - I'm not sure what's up with my mobile phone but it is something. Last night - for the second time in a fortnight - it started running hot and drained almost half the battery in less than half an hour. The internet suggested no new fixes so I cleared the phone cache as well as for some individual applications. I am not impressed - and even less so since there is as yet no suitable replacement for the Galaxy Note 7. D'oh. I've had a look at other options but am not impressed with most of what I've seen. But it's still early in the year ... possibly even too early for the "Best of 2017" Lists.
