Saturday

The NEGATIVES for our Covid tests came back at 2pm yesterday. We were excited because it meant we were good to go with "movie night" - actually not a movie but finally settling down with M to watch the much lauded and applauded The Queen's Gambit. We managed only the first episode because we were all subpar and a little less than our usual happy, healthy carefree selves - thanks to lurgies and ongoing toothaches - but I think we all enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next session - hopefully early next week.
Sooz finally had her iron infusion this morning and for a moment it looked like it wouldn't happen. Sooz had been told where to go, but when we arrived it was closed and the sign on the door said they were open Monday to Friday. But someone came and said there was another Day Infusion Unit on the next level up  and it was used on a Saturday.  They escorted Sooz there but before they left, they  gave me instructions so I would know where to go to collect her.
Then off I went to breakfast at The Pastry Emporium in Sorrento. It's the first time I've been there so I wasn't sure what to expect but it wasn't too bad: they had Merlo coffee - always a good start, and the sourdough toast and raspberry jam was okay. M had Fetta Scrambled Eggs; Sy a ham and cheese croissant as the plain ones had sold out. and Ma had what looked like avocado smash and a whole bunch of green leafs or is that "leaves"?  An was a non-starter - and Blue will have to wait until next time to show everyone how cute he is.
Sooz's infusion went well and once I had her back in Ravi we headed for the Broadwater and Cafe Gold Coast where Sooz had her breakfast and I had my second coffee. You have to love it there, and everybody else down there this morning seemed to be having a wonderful time too.
