Wonder Woman! WW 84! Who would have thought I would manage not one but two movies about Wonder Woman on the same day. It may have been better had I watched them in the order they were made but since I hadn't known about the first until M mentioned it to An and I as we sat waiting for WW84 to begin, we had no other option. As I texted to M this morning though, now that I have seen the first (thank you Binge for having it) I am glad I watched them out of order otherwise it may have been too sad ... no further comment can be made otherwise it could lead to "spoilers".
It was the first time I have been to the Cinema for ages and I'm going to go out on a limb here and saying not everyone has started going back there yet - yes, I know it was a mid-week mid-afternoon session we went to but we were the only ones in our cinema. It may not be a year until our next cinema visit though _ at least one of the pre-show trailers looked interesting ... and if we get to see it early enough in its run, we will even give Gold Class a go ... there's something wonderful about having your coffee delivered at half-time as you stretch out in a recliner!
We have now seen The Queen's Gambit episodes One through Five and it is as amazing as folk said it was. We will probably finish it at the next session we have. We are already thinking about it ... and thinking the dinner choice this time could be Malaysian - as a new Malaysian street-food shop opened at Crestmead Plaza a couple of weeks and we can't wait to try it out - we've just been waiting to share it with someone.
I cannot believe we are still finding pieces of glass in the lawn and along the path from where the electrician (who installed the new oven) dropped the old one as he was wheeling it out ... thank goodness it was safety glass. I think the mowing might have "uncovered" some more ... because there certainly appears to be more glass now that I've mowed and "trimmed".
Since M was working yesterday, Sooz and I went to breakfast instead ... to Daark. It was good. Sooz was undecided between her normal crumpets (made on the premises) or apricot-fruity-toast. So in the end, we decided we would each have one, and then share. Yum! Then, after dropping Sooz off at her appointment, I continued on to the Botanic Gardens with Nik the camera. It's the first time Nik has been out for a while and it's just a shame that there wasn't a bit more wildlife around. There were flowers though ... the Rose Garden is in bloom, but fading. There were apparently turtles but I didn't seen any of them today.
