Down at the Broadwater, the man in the truck - who reversed into the space beside us as we were having our lunch - managed to completely block our view of the kiteboarder we had been watching as he tried to right his board after it had unexpectedly stopped dead in the water and sent him hurtling off. He was on his third try to lift the sail out of the water when we lost our view - as I said to Sooz: now we'll never know what happened! And just when you thought the man with the truck couldn't block our view any more, he jumped out of his vehicle, grabbed the fixings of his canned fish sandwich, assembled them - and took up a position behind the truck, on our side, to "munch a bunch of Iunch" thereby obscuring even more of our view. We're not sure why he felt he had to back in to the space especially as he seemed to have no intention of being far from the vehicle: yes, yes, I know we could have left Ravi at any time - but we were there first!
Oops, I goofed - which could have something to do with lack of attention to detail but I'm also putting it down to carrying out message conversations on the watch - which is how I ended up at the wrong place for my coffee date with Jo today. Here I was patiently waiting, and wondering where she was - I even checked the meet time to make sure I had it right when I really should have been checking the venue - Chirn Park NOT Zarraffas. D'oh! (I told you I was tired!)
The rain continues - a little bit at a time usually, throughout the day in showers and/or squalls. The good news is I have retrieved the umbrella from the garage and put it in Ravi so the next time we've out and it rains, we'll be covered: the same cannot be said for getting from the house to Ravi - unless we invest in another umbrella!
