Sunday

Lift anyone?
Well, I may have set a new record by being tucked up in bed and asleep by 7:30pm on a Saturday night. I think Sooz stayed up reading for some time after - but not me. I had stayed up as late as I could but I was a bit under the weather. and at this point can I just say that if you have any sign of congestion do not, I repeat, do not use a nasal decongestant spray because it will work - any congestant properties you were bringing to the equation will "magically" disappear. Tap? Did someone say running like a tap? That, general lethargy and the muscle aches and pains were a definite invitation for me to go to bed and, when I asked Sooz this morning how long I was awake for she gave a simple answer: nanoseconds. I wasn't surprised. Nigey must have been a bit surprised to have been locked out so early though ... given our usual bedtime - and door closing - is closer to midnight!

We went to breakfast down at Cafe4U this morning ... and it really is amazing what you see down there. This morning we saw a motorcycle go by and the person who was riding it had a full Elmo suit, including helmet, on; then a guy in an electric wheelchair went by, with two children sitting on his lap; not long after there was a couple of groups of people wearing pink tutus, grey tees which had "F^ck Cancer" on the back, and some of the folk were wearing medals so it looked as though they had been on a fundraiser; and then, to top off the morning, a man went by wearing a cap - with an eagle head on its back. Yes, you never know what you are going to see down there. Usually watching the pelicans and seagull is enough for us, but we enjoyed this morning's extras.

The rain continues - not constant, but enough to stop me getting out to mow and trim the lawn. While Wa was here I asked him about trimming the weeds in the pavers and he suggested the best thing was to use "Round Up" or some kind of weed killer. Looks like there is a trip to Bunnings in my future!
