Wednesday

We drove down to see Sooz's Mum at Kingscliff today ... it has been a while thanks to the Year of Covid. They still have restrictions in place. When we arrived we had to do an electronic check-in which included a photograph, temperature-taking and the wearing of masks. It's the first time we've had to wear a mask and it was a little counterintuitive given that we were already worried that June may not recognise us (even without a mask) ... but once we were in with her, one of the staff told us to take the masks off completely. Hmmm ... better ... and who knew that masks don't come with instructions! Yes, we've seen enough folk wearing masks over the last year to know it can be done: but it is difficult - yes, we all know the wire bit goes up the top - but does the blue side go towards or away from the face?
While we visited June we joined her in watching an Andre Rieu concert. We know that Mouse loves watching him too and now that we have seen him and his orchestra in action ... we understand why he is so popular. How could anyone not be happy watching the show: him, the orchestra members ... and the audience?
We popped into the Post office on the way back up the Coast and - ta da - our new dinosaur duvet cover had arrived. Let me say that while I love it and the idea of it, it was Sooz who was the driving force for getting it. It first came up after Te, We, the kids and I went to the Jurassic Creatures show. We'll be putting the dinosaurs on at the next bed change: photos to follow. (I am excited!)
