And after the Lebanese food, we were off on another culinary journey when we met Ro in Brisbane for Yum Cha. It wasn't Sydney Yum Cha but it was good to be having it again. I had to give the food a 6.5 out of 10 (yes, yes, we have truly been spoiled with Sydney Yum Cha over the years) but the restaurant was nice enough and, as Sooz and Ro kept pointing out, our waitress had the loveliest smile. I gave her top marks as well ... when she delivered the first steamer of prawn dumplings to our table and took the lid off, I said "Ta da" and she giggled (as though she had never had anybody do that before), and then it was the same each time she brought another steamer over. You have to like someone who knows how to have fun.
I'm not sure what it is about navigation in Ravi but on the way there ... okay, we were using Waze not the built in satnav ... we ended up not taking the correct exit off the freeway ... it may have been me not following the directions to the letter though as it kept telling me to stay to the right when really I should have been going left and then staying in the right-hand lanes after that. Still, we did manage to get to Mitchelton on time - which is why I always like to leave early for appointments. It wasn't much better on the way back to Jannie ... I just have to hope Waze didn't put us onto the M3 as early as it could because there was traffic congestion! And let's not even talk about how difficult it was to find the Yum Cha restaurant ... in that we were so busy looking at the clothing alteration place next door that we completely missed seeing it on the corner ... and it took us a while to work out how to get back to it because of how the streets/lights were.
