Saturday

Bombay Backlanes. And there were another couple which I'll have to ask Sooz about as she was the one reeling them off. Hong Kong was in there, as well as ... NO ... it's no good... I'll have to consult the Brains Trust on this. I knew I should have noted them down!

The whole conversation arose as I told Sooz about the rather esoterically-named air freshener I picked up from Woolies today: Tropical Whitsundays. We're not quite sure what "flavour" it is supposed to be. I know we were caught unawares by the last PURE we bought: a yellow tin does not mean the contents are lemon scented. But what scent comes in a blue can?

It's raining again here - nice solid heavy rain. If it continues, there may be a trip to the laundromat in our future. And if that happens (in that the rain continues to fall enough for me to consider going to the laundromat) the lawn won't get mowed - it will be way too wet.

We met the Usual Suspects for breakfast at Catalina's this morning and we had a good time - not that there was any pressure on us (not!) because Syl and An, Tilly and Blue will be heading off in their caravan next week so it will a while before we have brekkie with them again. The only good thing about them heading off on their travels is that Syl may start writing blog entries again. She does them well - good writing, good photographs.  It's not quite like being there but her posts are interesting. I remain in awe that she posts as they travel because I am still trying to finish the notes from our trip around Central Queensland last October.

After breakfast we went to Southport Park Shops so Sooz could get a haircut - which she would have, had they not been absolutely chockers and unable to fit her in. So, we'll try again during the week.

While she was doing (or not doing that) I had a wander through the Reject Shop, and then to Woolworths where they didn't have Nigey's cat litter; so we stopped in at Woolies at the Smith Collective on the way home.

We are still watching MAFS (that would be "Married At First Sight" - I'm not exactly sure why ... but I am way more invested than I want to be ... I think we are "halfway through the experiment" so I take heart in that. And please let it not be too long until MasterChef starts again.  Hmmm ... it was interesting to hear Sooz say that the only thing wrong with MAFS is ... the number of ads.  Maybe ... maybe not.
