Sunday

The rain continues! We are lucky (touch wood) that our day-to-day activities haven't been impacted but others on the Gold Coast and throughout parts of NSW have not been so fortunate. Who knew there could be so much rain in the sky and that it would just keep falling? Roads have been flooded, properties inundated and we still have a few more days of it on the radar. I did get to the laundromat with the washing, and, in retrospect, I've just realised I was able to get it out of the dryer, into the car and back into Jannie without it getting rained on ! I think it's because I put my pants on backwards this morning ... if putting your shirt on inside out is lucky, surely backwards pants is as well. That's what I'm going with - especially as there is further "evidence" ... while we were at Nerang RSL for Trivia, we won a tray of T-bone steaks in one of the meat raffles. Yippee! Those and the bottle of red wine which came home with us from the Runaway Bay Tavern Trivia night might end up in a cook-up!
Nothing like some meat to fight low iron!

As the rain falls, the lawn continues to grow longer. M (no stranger to mowing herself) assures me that the grass is okay to be mowed if, when you walk through it, the tops of your shoes stay dry. That may be a while away yet since I'm currently sinking into the lawn as I walk - it makes for an interesting sound effect - gloop, slurp, gloop.

Nigey doesn't seem to mind the rain ... it's just another reason to curl up on a bed or box or couch or ironing board to have a nap.
Nigey trying to get into her raincoat!

Nope, not going outside today - or getting up!
