I have started a course at TAFE, a Certificate Ill in Information Technology, and I'll be doing it online. It's been a while since I've done anything like this and I'm quite excited about it - and just a little unsure about how it's all going to work, but the good news is that there's a heap of information on the TAFE website and there's even a weekly chat forum - which I missed this week (d'oh) but will make sure I catch next week.
My Surface (laptop), still under extended care warranty four years after purchase, has finally made it back to the shop. It has had a failing battery for over a year and in that time I've been trying to document how little time the battery lasts through screenshots - not as easy as it might sound - so it's good that I finally found the Battery Report which shows how the battery has depleted over the years. I'm just waiting to hear back from them as to whether they will replace or refund the purchase price.
We had a quick trip to Ipswich on Thursday to visit AnDe. De is recovering from surgery. It was a success and that, together with her recent cortisone injection, should make her life a whole lot easier. We certainly hope so because she's had a bit of a hard go of it lately.
We missed breakfast this morning - my back has been playing up a bit the last couple of days and I wanted to have a lie-in and not have to be up early. The others went on without us and had a good time. It was good because Ro and Ri and An had not met before. M organized it and they went to what used to be The Daily Squeeze. But we didn't miss out! M popped in afterwards with some juice, coffee and a bacon and egg roll for Sooz. Yum ... and much appreciated. Thanks M.
Tara is still having injections and So called in this afternoon to collect Sooz to help with the shot. Tara seems to be doing much better at the moment which is fantastic. Sooz was saying this evening that if you didn't know that Tara had been ill - you wouldn't.
It's been getting chilly here ... roll on Winter... I think it's going to be cooler this year than our previous years at Jannie. For the first time ever I have packed away my shorts for the season - nooooooo! I have even resorted to wearing my pyjama top around Jannie in the evenings.
