Well, we won't be getting out of our face masks until next Friday at least at this stage ... and now that Sooz has misplaced her grey one ... we need more We think we know where it is and if it's where we think it is, it is retrievable. In the interim, .we will need to get her a new one - or find the two packs of those blue paper masks that I bought last year, and have put "somewhere safe". It might just be easier to buy new ones but I won't make that decision until l've checked if they're hiding somewhere in the garage because Heaven knows they're not in the cupboard inside when I was sure I'd put them.
But even though we have to wear the masks for another week (almost wrote "month" there) word on the street is that buffets are now operating again. And that means that folk in cafes and restaurants can now put sugar, salt and other condiments back on tables. I wonder if that Cafe down near the waterfront will start putting the sauce bottles out again ... and stop charging $1 for a little container of tomato sauce!?!
It has been wonderful doing our morning walk down at the Broadwater this week. Because we're getting up a tad earlier we have been in time to see the sun rise. It's made better, too, because Pelicans, the cafe at the back of Charis Seafoods and looking on to the Broadwater, does a fantastic coffee. And that coffee was free today ... finally we've had enough little cups on our coffee card filled for one free real coffee each for Sooz and I.
