Catching up

Well ... I have certainly been a bit lax with blogging but hopefully I will be back on track soon-ish.
So, what's been happening? A bit. Dot points only ... with a little more detail ... until I am back doing "proper" blogging.
Saturday week ago ... I finished the last entry with Breakfast at Salt with the crew.
After that:
  • AnDe and Zwike came down from BrisVegas to join us for Pizza at Cara Mia under the Aqua Building at the Broadwater. It was a lovely night - a gentle breeze and not too busy so they managed to get a park on the street while Sooz, Ravi and I went into the parking lot under the building. Dinner was very nice - only three of us had Pizza while Sooz had the ribs ... and I can't remember what else there was ... but it was all very nice. After, we had Pizza ... yum, yum and yum again.  While we were there, Anthony the owner came out for a chat and told us about his expansion plans - he's looking at opening in the mornings with Pastries and Coffee; with Coffee because that's the only way he's going to be able to sell enough coffee during the day to be able to get the roast company to fund the coffee machine. If he does put in a coffee machine, he will be the only place at Aqua where you can get a (takeaway) coffee of an evening.
  • When we arrived home, Sooz did a Reiki session on De. She has been having trouble with her legs for the last few months and hopefully this will help her a little. Before dinner, Sooz had done a couple of short sessions with An and Zw. It could be that I gave Sooz a really good rap after she worked on my shoulder a while ago ... and if it wasn't, it should have been!

What else:
  • Trivia Monday night at the Runaway Bay Junior Leagues Club saw us, not on the podium, but winners nonetheless. Pe, Sooz and I successfully answered the three Jackpoint questions - the only ones to do so that night. We nominated Pe to go up to the podium (so I guess technically one of us was on the podium) to reach into the hessian bag and pick out one of the three remaining ping pong balls. When we first started going to this Trivia, there were 18 balls in the sack but over the weeks, people have picked ... but not the ball with the big X on it - otherwise they would have won the Jackpot. So, Pe is up there, and the TriviaMaster shows her the balls before he puts them back into the sack ... and had we had a table closer to the proceedings we might have seen her actually dig into the bag and pull out the X ball. From our vantage point, it looked as though she hadn't - so imagine our surprise when as she walked back, the TM announced that The Lorikeets had won! Well done Pe ... who told us later that at last one of the balls without the X had a ding in it, so she hadn't taken that! Yippee. Winners are Grinners. And to think that as we had done the game play - not well - I had "joked" that the only questions that really mattered were the three in the Jackpot round. And they were:
Who is the current Australian Minister for Defence?
In what year was the film A League of Their Own released?
In what year was Russell Crowe born?
