Sunday

What a grand stand!

Sooz and I had a fairly quiet weekend, starting with breakfast at Catalina's down at the Broadwater. We were five, including us, M, Ma and Pip (the dog). I couldn't believe how many other dogs were there as well ... but it is one of the many places on the Gold Coast that is "dog friendly". And I couldn't believe it when we arrived to find a feature from our wedding had been reinstated - the Grandstand for the Gold Coast Marathon. It looked as big as it did on the day.

I'd checked the weather forecast before we moved from the car into Catalinas and saw there was a 12 per cent chance of rain, and as we sat eating our breakfast, and drinking our coffes (or juice) the rain came bucketing down. Luckily for us, because none of us had umbrellas and Ma and Pip had walked down from the Chapel, the rain stopped by the time we were ready to leave.

After breakfast we were off to OfficeWorks ... I had found a lot of paper in my secret stationery store (the one at home), looseleaf, and I wanted a folder or binder or something to put it in so I could use it for note-taking. Because there are irregular (read: lots) of punched holes they won't easily fit into a refillable binder - so I went with a clip binder - in yellow! I also picked up a couple of erasable pens - I had run out of their colours - but otherwise I was incredibly restrained for being in a stationery shop!

We almost went into OfficeWorks at Nerang on Friday afternoon but couldn't get a parking spot I was happy with ... and just as well, because I would have bought more note paper - I don't always remember what I have at home - like the 8 or 9 papers of loose leaf paper - I'd bought it three or so years ago when they had remaindered it because it had grids on it. Good buy! Especially now that I am going to start using it.

As well as almost going to OfficeWorks on Friday, we also went to the Post Office ... to pick up the next of the Photobookshop works - and this time the subject is Nigey ... and we think she looks lovely in every photo in the book.
