Saturday

It is raining again today and that makes it a wonderful day for staying inside and catching up with some of the latest releases.  Of course, I couldn't contain myself and not watch the new Chris Pratt movie "The Tomorrow War" yesterday.  It was quite long - over two hours - and at the end of it, although it was engaging, I had to give it a 7 out of 10.  Is it because I was expecting Chris Pratt to portray an "every man" but really wanted him to be Star Lord (Guardians of the Galaxy) or Owen Grady (Jurassic World)?  Possibly ... which is why I may now be considering taking a look at one of those this afternoon ... after I have finished watching what can only be considered an old "favourite" because I don't think any one would call it a classic - "The Giant Claw" (1957).  Yes, it definitely is a wonderful day for a video-fest ... just wish it was a little bit warmer - but that's what more clothes are for.

I did manage to get some study done over the last couple of days. I'm enjoying it but I just have to remember not to dive too deeply into it ... yes, yes, it is possible to overthink these things ... and to forget that when they say you need to do a 100 word answer they don't mean 90 or 95 and they certainly don't mean 500.

We did venture out this morning and met the usual crowd for breakfast at Salt.  It is the first time we have had this group breakfast since before Syl and An went off to Adelaide a few weeks ago.  It was a good catch-up and a chance to see Blue who has been away travelling with his "parents".  We weren't the only ones pleased to see him ... Ri and A-M just love him and couldn't resist making sure he was complying with the requirement for folk (not necessarily furry) to wear masks.

M is worried at the moment.  Mouse had a fall during the week and while she didn't do herself a lot of damage she does have a black eye and has hurt her ribcage, although M is not sure how much. The biggest harm though seems to have been to Mouse's confidence ... it has apparently taken quite a knock. But Mouse is a strong woman so we know she will do what she can.

Nigey is curled up on the couch and when I had a cuddle with her before, she was quite warm.  I'm not sure how she manages that without an electric blanket but she seems comfortable enough and, yes, I am considering using her as a feline heater if it gets much cooler here.
