Wednesday

We had heard about Envy apples from M a little while ago ... she said they were good, even better than the Kanzis ... and now that we've had them, we are in full and total agreement. They are crisp, crunchy, clean-tasting and extremely yummy ... and definitely on the shopping list for next time.

Well, even though we are out of lockdown, mask wearing is still mandatory.  We have learned two things this week ... most people either don't know how to wear a mask properly or can't be bothered ... and that even though they know how to take a booking at the doctor's surgery, they don't know how to keep it.  We were at the surgery at 2:50 the other day, in time for Sooz's 3pm appointment but by the time the doctor was ready to see her, it was 3:30.  We heard the doctor call Suzanne's name once, twice and then a third time - and Sooz was on her way after the first one but because the doctor was calling from outside her office (across the waiting room and down a corridor) it was taking Sooz a moment or two to get there ... and each time the doctor called it seemed louder and crosser.  It was hard not to say anything about that ... we had been kept waiting half an hour and the doctor who had kept Sooz waiting was the one who seemed to be getting annoyed.  Hmmmm.  It reminded me of that episode of Seinfeld where the car rental  company can take the booking but they are unable to keep the booking.

While we waited to see the doctor, we saw our first episode of Tipping Point.  We had only just found out about it from M who sometimes watches it with Mouse.  The "trivia questions" part of it was good but the whole tipping point thing seemed like a bit of a waste of time.  We didn't get to see all the way through to the end so we will never know how they decide if someone wins the Jackpot of £10,000 (because it is an English program) ... we'll have to tune in another day on our own time.

That hasn't been our only television ... we watched an episode of Call My Agent with M on Tuesday night and then moved on to MasterChef.  It was good to listen to Sooz and M discuss television as they watched ... it has been a while because you can't really call "Call My Agent" "television" ... we all have to concentrate far too much and there is rarely any chit-chat throughout unless it is very quick.

And speaking of MasterChef we really are getting to the pointy end with the Grand Final on next Monday night.
